New students had been arriving all morning he’d watched the cars and families pull up into the school car park. The reactions it seemed were mixed, from his observations many seemed excited by the prospect and seemed to be bouncing excitedly up the path to the school. While the others a somewhat small percentage seemed angry and unhappy. Alex paused in his tracks as he wandered down the corridor, he remembered his first month at the school, his anger had fuelled his reckless behaviour and his control of the air element had spiralled into a troublesome mess. Until finally he'd managed to pull himself back together, pranks were minimal at best while his anger had almost completely depleted into nothingness. His apologetic nature had surfaced as soon as the fiery anger died - he hated himself for being such a brat and he was ever so grateful to be given another chance.

He yawned as he entered the cafeteria, the array of different smells hit his nostrils and he felt his stomach grumble loudly. So he'd skipped breakfast, but who could blame him he'd slept in and hardly had the time to get dressed never mind eat! And now it was lunch time, and he was ready to load his plate with every tasty looking dish available. After loading his plate he took a seat on an empty table as he waited for his friend to arrive. His green brown eyes surveyed the new students who looked so lost and naive as they tried to make their way through the sea of people, they were kind of adorable, even the tall scary looking ones with permanent scowls on their faces looked somewhat endearing as they searched for a place to sit - or hide.
Turning back to his pizza he stuffed another slice into his mouth and savoured the taste, yep this is exactly what he needed.

Greyson hadn't been doing much that day, being that he kept such a low schedule for the new semester, so when Alex's lunch time came around he was quick to make his way to the cafateria. What else was there to really do anyway? He smiled when he saw his roommate & best friend stuffing his face with pizza. It seemed that everything was good today, which made he happy as he sat down to eat his own food in front of Alex. "Hey, how's class been?" he asked somewhat teasing. Alex had been an interesting person when they first met, and he wasn't one to forget it. To assume they were just friends instantly would not have been proper, but sharing a room did help.

Alex had been a rather unhappy person when he first got to the school, as though he resented the fact he had to be there. It was understandable, he assumed. Though, for Greyson it was just a new home where they would actually teach him what he was capable of. That, he assumed however, was just the way he life went. He was okay with it though. Still, despite Alex's first couple weeks he didn't think he would've wanted any other roommate, nor best friend. He gave a childlike grin to Alex before taking a bite out of his sub. It wasn't half bad, in fact it was pretty good. The male set it down and drank a bit of his juice before speaking again. "Dude, I was in the library and I met one of the new students..Or haunts? I don't know, but she was so cute!" he gave a soft chuckle with that. He would be telling Alex all about Hikari, he was sure. He wanted to make her his, in a sense anyway. Why not, after all? Sure she wasn't something he would be able to do much with, but she was so cute and sweet! Besides, it wasn't her fault she was dead...or was it? She could've commited suicide, he supposed, but he didn't think that was very likely.

Stuffing a large slice of Hawaiian – without the pineapple one must add (so sue him he liked ham) which was scraped to the side of his plate with much distaste, separate from the generous helping off curly fries. He grinned as Greyson sat down.
“So, despite the Docs letter that old bat still made me do all that extra homework,” said Alex with a mouth full of fries, “she’s obviously out to get me.” He complained, “I mean come on, I had a doctor’s note!” he insisted sourly, crossing his arms in a huff as he gulped down the mouthful of fries. “I mean if she’s still mad at me because of the TV remote incident,” he grinned fondly at the memory, “she should just give me detention, anything would be better than the extra essay she gave me to do.” He sighed.

As Greyson began cooing over a cute girl he met in the library Alex sat forward his interest perked. Haunt was a strange word to use, did she like live in the library or was she in fact a ghost? He could just imagine how cute it’d be though if his friend did date a ghost, with Greyson being a Necromancer it kind of fitted. As long as he didn’t go all crazy and use his powers of course – but that wasn’t Greyson, his bro was a good guy, nice too. He'd really helped Alex adjust to the school when many had given up on him.
“Do tell, what was she like? Description now please.” Grinned Alex brimming with curiousity.
