With shaky hands she gripped the pencil tighter willing her reflexes to hold it steady. Wincing she gritted her teeth and waited for the lapse to pass, she breathed deeply counting to ten in her head just like her mother had advised her to. She opened her eyes and smiled softly as her slender fingers curled around the pen again, her weakness had passed and Minnie was only glad it was temporary spasm, there had been times when she’d thought her limbs would never stop shaking and she’d slip away mid fit. She banished the dark thoughts and frowned at the mess she’d made on the page, lovely that was one page ruined. Minnie sighed and looked back at the text book re-scribbling in quick hand the pre highlighted information pouting her lips in concentration.
For an autumn day the weather was rather welcoming, cool yet tolerable and the wind was down. By all accounts she should have been in the library but it was far too crowded and she couldn’t concentrate when there wasn’t a perfect silence which noisy first years hardly provided as they chased down the books they needed for class. If she wasn’t so fond of children she’d have probably decked one of them by now – though her patience was beginning to wane…
Sighing she turned to the next chapter loosing herself in the new chapter. of course she wouldn't have been in such a grumpy mood if it hadn't been for the stupid gangly Vila boy bumping into her and sending her books flying as he and one of his miscreant friends charged down the corridor or if the library had actually bothered to get in that book she'd ordered - and really needed for class - or if her stupid body wouldn't stop going into dumb spasms on her! it hadn't been the best morning.
