Tabby's a bit of a hard person to read. At first, she seems like a calm, cool person who likes to keep to herself and her friend Hikari. At times, this is true. Tabby's pretty calm and tends to over-analyze people, making it a bit hard for her to make friends, though she is a generally friendly person, and she loves to have fun and hang out with people, if she likes them. Usually, if she acts like she's over-analyzing a person, it's likely because she's trying out her psychic powers and attempting to read them to see what kind of a person he/she is. It can come off as a bit rude at times, but otherwise she's outgoing and friendly, fun-loving and nice, so to speak.
Unless someone gets on her nerves or hurts Hikari in any way. Tabby's first priority is always her best friend, and she is extremely protective of her. Therefore, if she hears anyone talk badly about Hikari or ghosts in general, she'll go off into a long, rather loud rant about the merits of her ghostly friend. She can be a bit talkative when she's passionate about something, or otherwise.
She also doesn't like boys much, at all. She over-analyzes them more than others, and she tends to always see the worst in them. It's likely because of her background, but she just always tends to feel a bit less friendly toward the manly gender. She finds them ignorant, foolish, shallow, and stereotypical. But then again, all girls do to some extent. Unless you're Hikari, who fawns over guys, but is way to shy to do anything about them.
She absolutely adores music and reading, because they both speak to her and offer her an escape from reality. So does chocolate...
In a nutshell, Tabby is a very hard person to read initially, but once she makes a friend and she (most likely not a he) gets to know her, she blossoms into a very fun, caring, genuine friend. (who may seem a bit weird or distant at times, as she can sense spirits and occasionally the thoughts and feelings of others..) She is also very compassionate at the core, and she often gets depressed when thinking of what others have been through (primarily ghosts. If she sees another ghost or hears the sorrowful tale of someone's death, she often will get very sad or emotional, and occasionally burst into tears).

Looks/Physical Description:
Tabbatha is tall and slender, with a few curves. She has long, wavy dark hair, which often hangs loose over her shoulders, but is pulled back whenever she reads or studies. She has icy blue eyes (they turn a deep purple when she uses her powers) framed by long, dark eyelashes. She has fair skin and a cool demeanor. She doesn't try to look unapproachable, but more often than not, that's how she appears. The times at which she doesn't appear unapproachable, she is probably flashing one of her beautiful, big smiles, which light up her whole face, especially when she laughs.
Tabby tends to wear things that aren't too girly or overly-comfortable (like her friend). She tends to wear dark jeans, often skinny jeans, and either flats or converses, and her top is usually pretty simple and dark colored as well, with varying necklines and designs.
Backstory: Tabby tends to wear things that aren't too girly or overly-comfortable (like her friend). She tends to wear dark jeans, often skinny jeans, and either flats or converses, and her top is usually pretty simple and dark colored as well, with varying necklines and designs.
Tabbatha had a bad childhood. An only child, she yearned for the attention of her single father. Her mother had died in childbirth, so she always wanted to feel the love of her father; however, the father blamed Tabby for her mother's death, so she was basically shunned until the day she turned 16 and left, miserable and lonely because her father didn't love her. No one did, really.
Even if her father hadn't blamed her, he wouldn't have loved her, or so she thought, because he thought she was a freak. (Little did he know, her mother was half mermaid, and her great grandmother was a necromancer and a psychic) At an early age, Tabby began to notice that she had spiritual/psychic powers, and her only friends were ghosts. She didn't really know the difference between real and ghost at first, so she became a very talkative and friendly child, but once she tried telling her father about her friends, and he claimed to see none of them and mocked her for it, she realized that they weren't entirely human. This is why she never expressed her water powers to him, which were stronger and harder to control, because she knew he'd hate her for that. One day, he'd found out, though, when she'd been playing in the snow one winter, and when there wasn't enough for a snowman she'd been making, she created more water around it which turned into more snow for her snowman. Her father had caught her in the act and was infuriated, calling her a freak of nature. After this, she'd had enough of being ridiculed for who she was, so she ran away.
After leaving her father and living on her own, she was extremely lonely and had no where to go.
That's when she met Hikari. Hikari was a kind, very lonely girl like her, and they bonded very quickly once they realized how much they needed eachother.
Hikari was, however, a ghost. That didn't really matter to Tabby, but she nonetheless felt as lonely as ever, however much she loved her friend.
They met in a very odd way, to say in the least. Tabbatha had been walking down a deserted street, wondering when her next meal would be, when she felt a faint presence. Not exactly human, but not inhuman, either. Which made very little sense to her. She looked up to see a small, sad looking girl walking her way. She looked her square in the eye, and was a bit shocked when the girl froze in her tracks, as if no one had seen her before. Tabby's heart went out to her immediately. Which is why, when she saw a man walk up to them, she narrowed her eyes. And when he muttered "demon" under his breath, she let loose.
"HEY!" She shouted at the man, putting her hands on her hips as she did so. He seemed a bit startled. Good.
A few tears came to her eyes as she recalled all the times her father had called her a freak. All the times he'd sneered at her when she said she made friends, and they turned out to be spirits that vanished like wind. Not this time.
She grabbed the ghost girl's hand and pulled her closer, determination painted on her face. Not.today.
"I.am.SICK, of people like you going around calling people "freaks" or "demons", just because they're different than you!" She screamed at the man, who blinked, shocked that the girl had the guts to stand up for anyone, or anything. She turned to the ghost, eyes glistening. "People like me, people like her. We're different, but no less human than anyone else on this earth." she turned back towards the man. "So if you want to go around acting like you're better than everyone else, go ahead. But I won't stand here and just take it like it's ok. Come on, friend. We're leaving."
And with that, the she drew the ghost girl away with her, and they left the man, and their worries, behind them. And they've been friends ever since. She wouldn't let anyone call them freaks anymore.
A few years passed, living as well as she could on her own, and she then heard about a school for the supernatural. Would they, even after Tabby'd had so much rejection from others, take them in?
They did.
And that's where Tabby began her new life, in a place where the freakish was normal, and where people wouldn't hate her for being who she was. She and her friend Hikari could live a happy life, not being lonely anymore. She was happier than she'd been in years...

: Water powers (i.e. The power to use spiritual water to cleanse bad spirits from an area, and minor healing powers. Offense-wise, she either throws pretty harmless balls of water at people to catch them off-guard, or uses Hikari to freeze the water so that she can manipulate it and attack with it. For defense, she either creates a semi-protective mist around her, or yet again lets Hikari aid her by freezing a sheet of water into a type of shield); the ability to sense spirits and use minor psychic powers (she's trying to hone them to better use them). She can, on very rare occasions, understand the thoughts/emotions of others (mostly other necromancers, vampires, and ghosts) and predict the weather. She doesn't have very many necromancer-like powers, because of her mermaid and human heritages, but then again, she's never really tried to figure out if she has them, either, so she may surprise herself. She can, however, see all ghosts and more easily befriend them than others.
