To Nicks surprise, Lewis hadn't filled out the paperwork to switch roommates, And Nick had eventually returned to his own room, finding his things all in their place, nice and neat, he had been fearing the destruction of his items, but it hadn't happened. Lewis had greeted him with a nod and a muttered greeting, which confused Nick and left him feeling a bit awkward in the room.. everything was so normal, Nick had been torn to pieces, but here everything way, like a normal day...
But tonight seemed to be against him. His muscles all tensed as the first rumble of thunder reached his ears. Just this small beginning sound sent a jolt of fear up his spine. With the utmost agility he could muster with his fear heavy limbs, he curled himself into a ball in the corner of his bed, pressing against the headboard and wall. Another rumble of thunder hit, louder and closer. Nick curled into a tighter ball, his jaw locked and eyes squeezed shut, Fingers clutching at his head, his nails cutting into his scalp and his muscles locked again. A crack of thunder sent his limbs into a spasm, flying out in pure terror, his eyes shooting open and bulging. His phone went off, a text from Danni
"Locked in my room under guard, I am so sorry"
He remembered the thunderstorms they had gone through back in London, two years of having a best friend who could wrap her wings around you, who could block out the sound... She remembered them to, and was apologizing for not being able to come to his aid. As the minutes passed, the thunder grew closer and in strength, Nick found himself trembling against the wall, knees to his chest, hands ether in his hair of clutching the blankets.
He kept eyeing the sleeping form of Lewis, unsure what he would do if Nick failed to retain his instincts he had during a thunderstorm. But all logical thought flew out the window as a crack of thunder sent the walls shaking. Within a heartbeat, Nick had leapt from his bed to Lewis's in one bound, eyes wide.
He quickly curled into a ball against his roommates chest, his face pressed against his chest, seeking comfort, but having enough sense not to press his face into the males neck, seeing as how the last time he had gotten close had ended.
