These are the rules to our student handbook here at Mala Aurea, students please be sure to read them.
Drugs, Alcohol, and Other Foul Substances
Partying
(also applicable to our resident phoenix)
:: STUDENT HANDBOOK ::
Welcome to Xorinthia. We’re a school for troubled supernaturals and mythologicals. Many of our students are here because they are “Uncontrollable.” By this, we don’t mean to say you’re bad, but you are powerful so our handbook is a nice guide to help keep you out of trouble. First and foremost all students should understand breaking these rules can lead to SERIOUS punishment.::GENERAL BUT VERY IMPORTANT CAMPUS RULES::
First things first: Powers.
Now, we understand you’re here to learn how to control them, however we don’t want you using them without permission. They are DANGEROUS! Someone could be hurt, which we wouldn’t be liable for. Any students caught using their powers for any reason without permission will be punished; IMMEDIATELY! The Mystical Forest.
Under absolutely NO circumstances are students to enter the forest on the west side of the building. Any student with knowledge of someone planning or entered the forest who does not confess will be punished along with the student who enters. The forest is dangerous and un kept, full of creatures that would HAPPILY bite your head off. ::DORM RULES::
Stay on your side.
Under no circumstances should a boy be in the girls dorms, nor vice versa. There are separate dormitory sides for a reason! You can mingle in the lobby if you wish to spend time with the opposite gender. Students caught in the wrong dorm side will be dealt with accordingly.Lights Out!
We do have a curfew, which we would /prefer/ be treated like a bedtime. We are fair, however. Curfew is 10:30pm. Any students not in the dorms at this time will be escorted there. Any students caught sneaking around after curfew will be taken immediately to see the headmistress to explain themselves.
Keep it clean.
Being the institution we are, we do expect all rooms to be kept clean. We don't need any rodents that aren't shifters here! Students are expected to keep their rooms tidy and beds made. It's not much to ask considering we to provide residency. Yes there is maintenance, but your rooms are NOT their responsibility. No Food or Drinks.
To better follow the above rule's standards of keeping a room clean, no food or drinks are allowed in campus dorms. There is a perfectly functional cafeteria on campus, and if you don't like our food, you can go eat in town, but food and drinks will only cause trouble and messes in dorm rooms.Noise Level.
Keep you noise level DOWN. Even if you don't care about your studies other students might. Like so, you're expected to RESPECT your peers. Honestly, as long as your in your dorm you can stay up all night. That doesn't mean you can keep your fellow students up all night. Mkay?::FORBIDDEN ACTS OF HORMONAL MALFUNCTION::
PDA
PDA
PDA, for those select few who do not know, stands for "public displays of affection", and is absolutely forbidden. Even simple acts of hand-holding should be kept to a minimum, and ABSOLUTELY no kissing on school grounds. If a teacher or staff member catches you doing anything he or she considers PDA, it's grounds for immediate incarceration into detention. Who needs high school sweethearts anyways. You kids are too young for that. Too hormonal.
Any depressant, stimulant, steroid, or any other drug-like substance found on campus or on a student's person, will be immediately confiscated and the party responsible will be punished. Illegal substances are not allowed on school grounds, and most, if not all, substances are illegal to all students on campus, who are all underage. Yes, legally students can smoke at 18, but not on this campus. If you are seen with any of these substances or are suspected to be under the influence of any of these, you will be taken directly to the headmistress's office. The only drugs you're allowed to take are those prescribed to you by a school nurse. (No, Flint, that does not mean you can prescribe yourself drugs. Coffee is all you get.)
Partying
(also applicable to our resident phoenix)
As parties often include the two above forbidden acts, it should be quite obvious why this is also forbidden. Apart from the dangers of partying and impeding your control, and therefore being a potential thread to those around you due to your powers, parties are quite loud and last for long periods of time, which can tire out students and cut down on their ability and time for studying. We wouldn't want that, would we?
No, students do not have to follow the rules, but be careful because if they get caught they might get punished
