Tabby walked briskly towards town, the wind blowing back her bangs, the rest of her hair pulled up into a ponytail. She wanted to get to town as quickly as possible for two reasons. For one, it was really hot out and she wanted to get into a cool building as soon as possible, because she hated hot days, though she could easily cool off with some water, but that took too much energy. The second reason was that she was going with a guy, and she wanted the day to pass as quickly as possible, because she wasn't sure just how long she could tolerate being with a guy before getting ticked off somehow.
She 'd met him in the dorm lobby, and they'd agreed to walk to town together, but she was trying her best to walk quickly so that he wouldn't walk right beside her. She didn't want it to seem like a date, after all. She just kept her head forward and walked along the path that led straight into the small supernatural town.
Why'd she agree to this again? Oh, right. Lindsey Stirling. He'd said there was a music store in town, and they were selling her favorite violinist's new album. Well, if anything could pull her from her dorm room, that was it.
She loved music, with a fiery passion, as it spoke to her in ways simple words could not. She could relate to the switches in harmony and melody, and connect them to her ever-changing life. The notes calmed her, and gave her an outlet for her feelings. She could almost see herself playing her fears away on the ivory keys of a piano, if she ever learned to play one, or any instrument. Maybe if she learned to play something, it'd help her channel her powers, who knows?
She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't notice that she'd entered the town already, and when she came to her senses, she looked around in awe, stopping in her tracks to look around at the small shops and cafes. It was an awesome little town, and it was rather quiet, due to being primarily for the school and other supernaturals, in the middle of the Virginia mountains. It was a bit busy, but not as bustling as some cities or towns she'd been to.
She turned and finally waited for Matt to catch up, because she had no idea where the music store is, and she didn't want to be entirely rude.
